Indie Media Arts South is a regional collective supporting independent media artists across the Southern United States through artistic development, community building, resource sharing, and exhibition opportunities.
Indie Media Arts South connects 600+ members including individual artists, film festivals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations united towards leveraging our collective voice to reclaim the conversation around our region and advocating for equitable support of Southern artists across funding, programming, and exhibition opportunities. We have pioneered partnership programming at events across the South and beyond, including with New Orleans Film Festival, Southern Documentary Convening, Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, Sidewalk Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Cucalorus Film Festival, SXSW, Sundance Film Festival, and more. Our work has sparked increased cross-regional connection advancing the artistry and careers of our members.
